Jarry is junk. We already know this. Never A timely save. Always an untimely goal against .. and always somehow 5+ goals against . The team should have called up Unger and given him a look. Hopefully Babcock puts an end to this Jarry failed experiment. But enough about goalies. We know what he is.

Two guys that have been consistently bad are Shea and Walman. That third goal where Shea didn’t bother to lie down in front of the pass was inexcusable. But generally speaking his offensive iq and puck movement is beer league. Is this our upgrade on nurse ? It’s looking like a downgrade and that’s saying a lot. At least nurse would scrap.

Wallman is an absolute flash in the pan. He looked good for about 30 games and has been absolutely invisible since. The Wallman experiment is also over. With Ekholm out he is being further exposed as a dud. His shot is low iq. His defending is weak. He plays with frustration and can’t get anything done. It’s hard for me to say for sure but he seems like locker room cancer and a hard guy to coach.

Shakir barely got any minutes and that’s no surprise. He is not an nhl Dee man. But Wallman and Shea are presented to us as legitimate middle pairing Dee men. When at best both of them are 7d .

Emberson is the most puzzling thing on this roster. How did he win the seat over stetcher ? He’s a decent bottom guy maybe 7 Dee but he was picked over stetcher who would be a definite solid 3rd pair right shot.

We’ve had an incredible start but our defence has been exposed. I’ll never underestimate Ekholm’s value again. But the fact that we are that shallow without him is a red flag. We need to retool the Dee. Walman must go and a legitimate top Dee man must be brought in. We need size and grit for the bottom pair too.. Shakir is not that guy. A veteran cup winner is a must

On paper our Dee looked bad coming in and somehow we have had an incredible start. But reality may be setting in. When you remove Levi and Ekholm .. you have a major issue. And that should not be the case.

I have to mention that I saw a lot of unforced errors from our forward group too. Lots of flubbing. Nervousness ? Idk.

Toronto is deeper and has way higher level Dee .. stetcher roslovic and stolarz all former oilers .. all clutch in their win
