Back to back shutouts
Well.. I’ve been wrong before and i definitely want to be wrong again. But the sample size is still not significant. With that said. Hats off to Jarry for his recent performances. He looked calmer.. and more in control. His puck handling was great too. Rebound control was out to the sides instead of into trouble. Timely saves were made. If he can sustain this level of play. We might have ourselves a great tandem with Anderson as a contingency. I really hope it’s the case. But.. TIME WILL TELL. And let’s not forget the proneness to injury. Stay healthy and stay consistent. Please.
In other news:
In a fog and for a nanosecond I thought maybe Frederic wasn’t as bad as I felt he was .. and that maybe he has a role in this lineup. But alas. I am reverted to my initial assessment. He is not just failing to do what he was brought in to do.. he is a liability. When he tries to be the imposing presence he ends up taking penalties.. he just doesn’t have the edge or the size to be the role he was brought here to be. maybe .. just maybe he can function as a 4th liner but I’m not convinced we need that kind of money on the fourth line.
I’m hoping Babcock sees it too and gives him the walman treatment. Hallinder is a much better option.
Ike Howard… if I’m being optimistic.. his injury might allow him to watch the game for a while and come back a bit smarter. But he’s not been what I hoped he would be and maybe it’s cause he’s not being set up for success either with such few minutes. But I’d love to see him come back stronger. He looks like a player who doesn’t realize his own potential.
Ryan Shea is definitely stepping up his game and cementing the fact that walman has no business in the lineup. Shakir has been looking better and better. The penalty he got called on at the end of the game was absolute bs by the refs.
When this team plays well in the second period they can’t be beat.
Another highlight from this game is seeing that second line dominate.
For years people have come onto fat Rambo to call me a hater .. but I feel vindicated seeing the right things happen and the right things working .
When we get goal tending .. things look good. We got rid of all the guys that spiked my blood pressure ,, from Ethan bear to pulijarvi , to skinner , and especially nurse. We have a coach with balls and brains . This is going to make bowman’s job very easy.
I’m not planning the parade yet but I feel decently about this lineup despite its glaringly obvious holes. We need some size, a bit more skill for the bottom 6.. and depth at Dee .
Hyman in my view should come back as a third liner. Imagine a Savoie Dickenson Hyman third line. This is what the team needs ..
Let’s go!
